Andrew B Church earned his M.A. in journalism at Baylor University in Waco, Texas, in 2018, and his B.A. in photography and journalism at the Missouri School of Journalism in 2009.

In 2010, Andrew joined the United States Navy. He was promoted to media director, developing large-scale, cross-platform multimedia products for global dissemination aboard multiple ships. In 2013, he was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal twice for his service. He helped reshape official Navy training of media personnel and reset the bar in public affairs messaging.

After his honorable discharge in 2014, Andrew continued his work in multimedia journalism by freelancing in photography, videography, graphic design, layout and design, digital animation, and multimedia production.

Andrew enrolled in Baylor University’s Journalism, Public Relations and New Media (JPRNM) department in 2017 and was active in multiple programs focused on the development of teaching and academic leadership.

In January 2019, Andrew served as adjunct lecturer at Baylor University. He relocated with his family to Columbia, Mo., where he started Draft 13 Media, LLC, a media production company geared around grassroots journalism. While producing integrated marketing campaigns at Stephens College in Columbia, Mo., he served as adjunct instructor at the University of Missouri School of Journalism. He later served as temporary full-time lecturer at Baylor University, where he taught visual journalism and strategic communication.

Andrew is dedicated to honest reporting, robust marketing, and diverse storytelling in multiple areas of media production.
